Megan, everything about this sounds so perfectly you.
More than coverage — a photography experience built around the two of you.
Old Mission Santa Inés for the ceremony, then Mattei's Tavern for the reception — two of the most beautiful and storied venues in the Santa Ynez Valley, and genuinely one of my favorite pairings imaginable. The Mission has that incredible historic light, the Spanish colonial architecture, that sense of weight and reverence that makes a Catholic ceremony feel truly ceremonial. And Mattei's is warm and romantic and has such wonderful character — exactly the kind of venue that gets better as the evening goes on and the dance floor fills up.
I love everything you shared about you and Jake — the dog people, the family-first couple, the ones who are genuinely excited to dance with everyone they love. That energy photographs so beautifully. The best wedding images aren't just the posed portraits — they're the moments when everyone forgets there's a camera because they're too busy having the time of their lives.
And film — yes. We'll weave 35mm throughout the day and have some fun with flash during the reception. Film brings a particular warmth and depth to the kind of joyful, celebratory moments you're describing. I'm already excited about it.
I've put together this proposal with your full day in mind — ceremony, the drive between venues, portraits in that gorgeous October light, cocktail hour, and deep into the reception. Enough time for everything, with nothing rushed.
Warmly, Maggie
What Our Couples Say.
"I had no doubt that our photos were going to be beautiful and perfect. The minute she arrived at the venue I felt completely confident in her and her team — so prepared, so organized, every single shot we requested."
The Experience.
Working together is about more than beautiful photographs. It's about feeling completely taken care of throughout the process.
Before your wedding, we'll plan your photography timeline together, talk through family photographs, traditions, and the moments most important to you, so you can walk into the day knowing everything has been thoughtfully considered.
On the wedding day, I'll guide you when you need direction and step back when you don't. You'll never be left wondering what to do in front of the camera, but you also won't spend your wedding feeling like you're in a photoshoot.
My approach allows you to be fully present with the people you love while I document the celebration as it naturally unfolds. The portraits you'll frame, the traditions you'll pass down, and the moments you didn't even realize were happening.
You enjoy your wedding. I'll make sure you remember it.
